I think we have been so long short-changed that we are celebrating the normal too much.

PYO is a pastor, a lawyer and a university professor (teacher). In all these, he TALKS FOR A LIVING. It would have been strange if he didn’t deliver a powerful speech.

But, speech making is not erudition. Quite sincerely, Amaechi has more to offer in terms of cognate leadership experience, yet he didn’t deliver any remarkable speech. I would have picked him ahead of PYO if I were a delegate voting with my free mind.

The mistake people make about Tinubu is that they refuse to see that he has made himself AN INSTITUTION. He may be shaking like a leaf. He may be almost in the grave from ill-health, but I want us to see something:

How does an old, almost senile man coordinate a primary that defeats able-bodied men! He is certainly not the richest man in Nigeria today! He looks weak, but he’s still effective. How come!

Second, isn’t it the likes of PYO and Fashola and others that will still run his government? He has never been ANYTHING IN GOVERNMENT after being governor. That’s a mark of someone who can get things done without seemingly working! That on its own is frightening.

Third, I used to hear people celebrate the physically challenged for being able to get things done! His hands shake, yet he’s GUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.
